Snowden Elected to DTCWV Board of Governors
Martin & Seibert, LC attorney and shareholder, Susan Snowden, has been elected to the Board of Governors of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia (DTCWV). Snowden will serve for a three-year term. She is an active member of the organization's employment law committee having served as a substantive speaker to the group on topics such as the West Virginia Wage Payment Collection Act and the federal WARN Act.
Susan Snowden practices in the area of employment and insurance law with an emphasis on class action defense. Her experience includes litigation of employment and wage issues, contract disputes, and representation of both individual and corporate clients. She litigates employment matters with a particular emphasis on defending wrongful dismissal, discrimination, and employment-related litigation. She assists clients with policies, contracts, and procedures. Snowden also is experienced with providing defense to companies for insurance and contract related claims and has again in 2010 been selected as a West Virginia Super Lawyer, making this her fourth year of recognition of this organization. She is an active member of the community of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia where she serves on numerous non-profit boards, and currently is Chair of the Jefferson Memorial Hospital and City Hospital Foundations.
The DTCWV was founded in 1981 to provide a cohesive network of West Virginia attorneys who defend individuals and corporations in civil litigation. It currently has a membership of approximately 500 attorneys, dedicated to the defense of these clients
