Martin & Seibert, L.C. Lawyers Ranked
Best Lawyers in America 2012*
For a number of years, members of the law firm of Martin & Seibert, L.C., headquartered in Martinsburg, West Virginia, have been acknowledged in national publications and have received much individual recognition. This year, Clarence E. Martin, III, Walter M. Jones, III, E. Kay Fuller, and Michael M. Stevens have been selected for inclusion in “Best Lawyers in America 2012”. This year's rankings top off a great year for Martin & Seibert, L.C. in which these same shareholders were also selected as recently announced “2011 Super Lawyers”.
“We are delighted that so many of the shareholders from a firm of our size have been recognized for their knowledge, experience, and leadership in their respective practice areas,” commented Walter M. Jones, III, Managing Shareholder of Martin & Seibert, L.C. “These results allow us to compete with much larger firms on both a regional and national level. Our shareholders were recognized in the practice areas of:
Insurance Law
Litigation-Bankruptcy,
Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions-Defendants, and
Personal Injury –Defendants.”
Since its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 41,000 leading attorneys cast almost 3.9 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
It is important to note that the lawyers listed in Best Lawyers have no say in deciding which practice areas they are included in. They are voted into practice areas entirely as a result of the votes they receive from their peers. The subspecialties listed after their names are based on information from a variety of sources.
Martin & Seibert, L.C. has attorneys who are licensed to practice law in the States of Maryland and West Virginia, and the Commonwealth of Virginia, and primarily accepts clients in litigation and business matters. The firm also has a department that specializes in the management of bad debt, which focuses on the health care industry, representing over 2,200 clients. It was also rated by Collections & Credit Risk magazine as one of the top ten collection law firms in the nation.
