Super Lawyers 2011
For a number of years, members of the law firm of Martin & Seibert, L.C., headquartered in Martinsburg, West Virginia, have been acknowledged in national publications and have received much individual recognition. This year, Clarence E. Martin, III, Walter M. Jones, III, E. Kay Fuller, and Susan R. Snowden have, once again, been selected for inclusion in the publication of Super Lawyers, a national magazine that honors outstanding attorneys in each state who have been nominated by their peers, and have reached a high degree of professional achievement.
Messrs. Martin and Jones were recognized for their accomplishments in the defense of mass torts and class actions. Both attorneys have over thirty years of legal experience and have been involved in some of the largest state and national cases involving insurance, financial products, pollution, and consumer fraud.
Ms. Fuller was selected for her excellence in appellate advocacy, having argued many cases of first impression before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia. She is currently working on an appeal to the United States Supreme Court on a privacy issue that will have national implications for companies that store electronic data. Mrs. Snowden was selected to be included in a specialty publication for her accomplishments in employment litigation. She has published and spoken nationally to industry leaders on employment-related issues.
Michael M. Stevens, a new shareholder with the Firm and a member of the Litigation Department, was, for the second time, named by West Virginia Super Lawyers and Rising Stars as one of the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state.
Martin, Jones, Fuller, and Snowden have been recognized in Super Lawyers consecutively since 2007. No more than the top 5% of the lawyers in the State of West Virginia receive this honor. The attorneys and staff of Martin & Seibert, L.C. have also been named as a “Go-To” law firm for the nation’s “Leading Financial Services Companies” and “At the Top 500 Companies.” The firm was also recognized in a feature article on West Virginia in U.S. News and World Report.
